Post Merdeka Run 2009

It's been a while since we last updated. Guess we are busy training for the coming PBIM 2009. Anyway, today we did the Post Merdeka Run 2009. I can say that all of us had improved a lot since the Kebun Bunga Charity Run. One of our female runner, Mei Lan had emerged 6th place for the Women Open Category. She didnt believe that she is among the top 6. When her name was announced, she have to think twice before receiving her winning trophy. Congrats to her.

Anyway, we still have another 3 weeks to go before we conquer the bridge. We will definately make it a memorable run for the PBIM 2009. See us there..

Updates: Kebun Bunga Charity Run 2009

Sorry for the late updates. Guessed most of us are very tired although it’s just a short distance run ( juz finding some excuses…hahahaha)

For some of us, this is our first running competition. I can say that we did a hell of a good job especially for the first timer. I know it’s just a short distance run but for the first timer, we use this to gauge ourselves how far we can go.

So, next task would be the Penang Bridge International Marathon.. We have only 54days more to go..

Below are the results of the runnermouth…

Some Article from Forum..quoted by iamwen

GREAT BODIES ARE ESTABLISHED,NOT BORN"

Asics Gel 105 for Kong

Just went to QB mall brought da Asics shoes, Asics shoes always claim themself as professional runner shoes producer, because of this so i'm dun have much doubt on this shoes. wakakaka.....
I dun know whether this is so called professional or not? when we just step in the shop, the auntie (i doubt is tauke-so, cos her body size not really looks like runner..keke) come to serves us, then the auntie strairght away asking us take-off our shoes and sock and look at ouf feet...and try to categories our feets as which category.Furthermore, that auntie try to asking us whether we are frequent runner or not...then after all the discussion, below shoes was recommend by tauke-soh....Below shoes kot ho liao, kot pi...the most important things is ...ngam ngam fall within my budget so we finally close the deal loh..kekeke...
* For my opinion,i like this kind of customer services.First they try to categories your feet type by examine your both legs, then try to get to know whether you are "heavy" runner or just "occasion" runner, then only they recommend which running shoes which suit your need..offcourse budget also play the important roles..the most expensive runner shoes in da shoes are rm799...wah-len leh.....
This auntie better than those NIKX, ADIDXS shop lala-cai, lala-mui sales person, just stand beside and start to staring at you..without saying anythings.....

Balik Pulau: Seng Siang Seafood & Prawning Center

Besides jogging and running around, RunnerMouth loves to eat too! How we found out this place? Thanks to CC Lim who constantly looking for food. He saw an article on the internet and that's how we ended at Seng Siang Seafood & Prawning Center. It's located at the top of the hill , Balik Pulau. However, I'm not sure the road to this seafood restaurant (Sorry, I'm very bad with ROADS ;p). Perhaps Kong and CC Lim are more familiar. Hehe.
Mivec
Unfortunately, many couldn't make it and left me, Kong, CC Lim and Ang. Around 6.30pm, we headed to Balik Pulau. Just before we reached the restaurant, I was shocked to see the steep road. But there's nothing to worry about because we're riding on Kong's car, the Wira with Mivec engine. So tell me, why should I worry?

Once we reached there, I was busy taking pictures but was disturbed by CC Lim because he wanted to take pictures too. Too bad, he does not have LX3, and so he needs to borrow my camera. Awww.. :(

Uphill scenery is always breathtaking ones.

Their business hours;-

We ordered 4 dishes altogether.

Kerabu

Pork Ribs

Fried Banana with Chicken

Overall tastes good but their service seriously needs improvement.
My rating:6/10
Kong's rating:5/10
Ang's rating: 6/10
CC Lim's rating:7/10

Penang Botanic Gardens

The Penang Botanic Gardens or in Bahasa Melayu: Taman Kebun Bunga also known as the "Waterfall Gardens" because of the cascading waterfall nearby, is a public park situated on Jalan Air Terjun (Waterfall Road) in George Town on Penang Island.

This is an alternative jogging area for some of us during weekends because of its lush greenery and tranquil setting. 1 small round around the garden is approximately 800 meter.

Quote of the Day (03 Sep 2009)

"Now if you are going to win any battle you have to do one thing. You have to make the mind run the body. Never let the body tell the mind what to do. The body will always give up. It is always tired in the morning, noon, and night. But the body is never tired if the mind is not tired."
